Terms & Conditions

Last updated 27 July 2026

These terms are a plain-language summary of how Mooring works and the basis on which it is offered. By creating an account or using Mooring you agree to them. Please read them alongside our approach to your data, set out below.

1. What Mooring is

Mooring is a private, invitation-only tool for coordinating stays at a home shared among people who already know each other. It helps owners invite guests, publish availability, and manage requests. Mooring is a coordination tool only: it does not take payment, hold deposits, or act as an agent, letting service, or party to any arrangement between an owner and a guest.

2. Your responsibilities

Owners are responsible for the homes they list, the accuracy of what they publish, and the arrangements they make with their guests. Guests are responsible for how they treat a home and for honouring the arrangements they agree to. Any money that changes hands is settled directly between owner and guest, outside Mooring.

You agree to use Mooring lawfully, to provide accurate information, and not to misuse the service or upload content you do not have the right to share.

3. No liability for use of a home

Mooring is developed and operated by Southtide. Southtide provides Mooring on an “as is” and “as available” basis and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, cost, or dispute arising from the use or misuse of a home, from any stay arranged through Mooring, or from any dealings between owners and guests. This includes damage to property, loss of or damage to belongings, and disagreements over bookings, conduct, or payment.

Nothing in these terms excludes any rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

4. Your data and privacy

Mooring does not sell your data. We do not sell, rent, or trade the personal information you provide to us. We use it only to operate the service: to run your account, coordinate stays, and send the notifications you have chosen to receive.

Mooring runs on Amazon Web Services, primarily in the Asia Pacific (Sydney) region (ap-southeast-2). Some supporting services, such as content delivery and error diagnostics, are provided by trusted third parties and may process limited data in other regions. We share only what those services need to run and support Mooring.

5. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Mooring evolves. When we make a material change we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Mooring after a change means you accept the updated terms.
